Since 1994, Monique’s Body Art has been redefining the body adornment experience. What began as a small shop on Clearwater Beach has grown into a trusted destination where artistry meets exceptional care. From day one, our mission has been simple: create a welcoming, relaxing environment where clients feel valued and safe.
Our Story
Co-owners Monique and Billy Mantilla brought together diverse backgrounds and a shared vision when they founded Monique’s Body Art. Committed to excellence, they completed professional piercing seminars at Gauntlet in 1995, followed by advanced training in 1996. Their dedication to continuous education set the foundation for everything we do.
In 1997, we expanded to Ybor City in Tampa, bringing our commitment to quality and customer care to a new community.
Master Craftsmanship
Billy is a graduate gemologist with expertise in precious gems, 14k and 18k gold. What sets him apart is his unique ability to merge piercing knowledge with jewelry design. He understands that body jewelry isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about proper fit, comfort, and how each piece interacts with the body. This perspective is often missing in traditional jewelry making.
