Why
are our piercing's and jewelry so expensive?
All
of our piercing jewelry is of the highest quality. All of our Stainless
and Titanium jewelry is Implant Grade. There are vast differences
between “surgical steel” and “implant grade surgical
steel”. The term “surgical steel” was coined by
the cookware industry to market pots, pans and tableware. There
are no standards behind what constitutes “surgical steel”
and it does NOT make for appropriate piercing jewelry. However,
the term “Implant Grade” is regulated by the American
Society for Testing and Materials. Only 316L and 316LVM steel can
be called implant grade. All of the jewelry sell or use in piercing's
is 316LVM. Anything less than implant grade can cause prolonged
healing, irritation, and even metal reactions in a piercing.
Appropriate
316LVM jewelry does cost us more, so it is a little more expensive
than what you might find in a mall or anywhere else that sells “surgical
steel” body jewelry.
We feel that our clients deserve the best,
so we go above and beyond to ensure that you will be satisfied with
your visit.
